High school graduate; advanced course work through accredited program with a background in cardiovascular anatomy and physiology or through employer internal training. Additional training in Echocardiographic procedures, required (may be through employer internal training). Will be required to complete CPR certification and maintain recertification. (ARDMS) American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers desired. Two to three years training as a Special Procedures Technician; advanced experience, training and proficiency testing required to perform Holter and Echo cardiographic procedures, including Stress testing, Trans Esophogeal, routine Echo tests and Doppler studies, as well as all other special procedures. |
